Wes Vine Hall Relocation

The news gets better for our quest for the relocation of the Wes Vine Hall, with the release of the City of Greater Bendigo’s budget allocating a total of $213,000 towards assisting in the relocation.

We have also had a donation of $4500 from Empowering Eaglehawk as well as the Eaglehawk UFS, donating $5000 to the cause yesterday. Fundraising by the club has also seen a substantial amount raised, all this money is being held in trust through the YMCA’s Hall account, so this project look set to happen.

Again the club would like to thank Ken Hopley for the donation of the building the Rotary club of Eaglehawk, Eaglehawk YMCA, Empowering Eaglehawk, Scott’s Construction Bendigo, Morey & Hurford and the City of Greater Bendigo. 

A special thank has to go to Counselor Peter Cox for his work in helping us firstly save the hall from demolition and then his tireless support and advice in helping us obtain the grant, that will actually see this thought become a reality and a valuable recourse for our club and the community of Eaglehawk
